Italian handicraft, ecology and fashion: these are the guiding motifs on which SAKIORI is based on. SAKIORI is the new made in Italy brand whose aim is to protect the extinction of couture by using recycled fabrics such as scraps and waste textile samples.
Sakiori takes its inspiration from the Japanese art of cutting and sewing together scraps recycled from textile samples, old clothes and rags: Sakiori's goal is to give a second life to fabrics by creating textile objects, realized according to the principles of couture. This is how Sakiori's products are born: scaldaparole, book jackets with handmade decorations that focus on the old habit of "re-covering", well beloved by Proust and Baudelaire; scaldalettere, envelops made of fabric for greeting cards and letters, and creative bag, exclusively handmade. Furthermore, Sakiori can realize objects of any kind upon request.
Uniqueness is what characterizes all Sakiori's products: every item is unique and unrepeatable, realized by ingeniously matching different scraps of fabric.
Sakiori's products are custom-made because it proposes to protect couture from its extinction. With the fabric recycled from old clothes, drapery and sofas, with leather scraps from shoe menders and belts, everyone is free to design with Arianna, the creator of Sakiori, his/her own item. Just like Massimiliano Alajmo did: the chef of the 3 star Michelin-restaurant "Le Calandre" in Rubano (PD) provided his used chef jacket to turn it into a shoulder bag.

Sakiori is a creative brand which supports experimentation and innovation. Its guiding motifs make Sakiori the perfect promotion medium for all those companies that believe in Italian handicraft and in the value of recycling. Don't waste your fabrics, reinvent your look!
